Scripts

Here you will find some of the scripts I made during my time at Howard University. Each one was selected because there is a certain aspect of the writing that stands out to me. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I did writing them.

First Session

First session is actually a theatre script. It is a tense therapy scene between a small nuclear family. Though not much action occurs in the script, it is a dramatic look into a family dynamic and some of my favorite character work.

Selene

Selene is short, five page, single scene script. It is a jumping off point for a larger film script. I included this script because I love the amount of detail that went into setting the scene.

Hugh

Hugh is my magnum opus. It is, as of yet, a 15 page script that tells an antihero story. There is no happy ending. There is no greater good. It is simply the story of a man who cannot seem to get his feet under him no matter what. It is the opposite of a feel good story, it is simply a slice of life.

While not a script, (and written in high school) it felt irresponsible to create of body of my works and not include this document. Me and My Shadow took two years to officially finish. It is one of my most vulnerable writings. It is a look into my subconscious.
