This catalog consists of the film projects I worked on during my time at Howard University. I’ve worked on multiple projects throughout my years at the school, but these are some of my favorites.
Chance Encounter
For my Directing class in Spring of 2024, we were tasked with writing and directing a five-page script.
I chose to tell the story of siblings reuniting. The short films looks into the events that occur after one of the brother is released from prison.
U n I t y
For my Editing class in Fall of 2024, we were tasked with composing a nonlinear music video with contents that are stock or under creative commons.
I chose multiple videos and a soundtrack that I believed could relay the unity between all beings on Earth. We are all of the stars and we will all become dirt. Everything and everyone is connected.
The Playground
For my Production class in Fall of 2024, the class was split in half and assigned to produce films from two scripts. I created the storyboard and served as the cinematographer for our group.
We told the story of two young friends facing the first true hurdle of their friendship. The pair share a close moment on the swing set as they come to the realization that things are about to change.
Bank Robbery
For my Editing class in Fall of 2024, we were all given the same footage and audio and tasked with making it our own. There were multiple over lapping cuts, allowing for multiple different angles to tell the same story in different ways.
I served as Editor, choosing the scene order as well as background music and sound effects to enhance the scene.
